SÓ TINHA DE SER COM VOCÊ from the show “CANTA MAFALDA”

Mafalda Minnozzi sings on a legendary stage with NY guitarist Paul Ricci and Rio de Janeiro percussionist Domenico Lancellotti in the famed “Bottles Bar” in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro.

In front of her, an attentive and curious sold out house there to see what she will sing on this stage known for Bossa with Jazz. Behind her is that iconic stone wall in so many legendary photos that document the innovation of Brazilian music. Here young innovators such as João Gilberto, Sergio Mendes, Jorge Ben and others including a young Elis Regina developed a new language that would take over the world.
Mafalda starts the night off with Antonio Carlos Jobim’s song “Só Tinha de Ser com Você”, a perfect vehicle to express her admiration for Jobim and Elis Regina since it is their classic duet that immortalized the song.
