The CD “SPRITZ Dal Vivo” is the most recent production of the project “SPRITZ” resulting in a charming, magical and refined work.

The CD contains 21 pearls, 21 paintings, 21 different emotions with various rhythmic twists (swing, bossa-nova e jazz) in a modern re-reading of the most beautiful melodies of the Italian songbook with just the right dose of innovation.

Recorded live on the stage of San Paulo`s prestigious Ibirapuera Auditorium, the CD documents a true music festival that unites Mafalda and Italian song onstage with noted Brazilian artists like Simoninha, Isabella Taviani, Bocato, and Toninho Ferragutti all sharing their memories and emotions.

The song selection and arrangements take one back to the atmosphere of the 1950s and `60s, a time period that lives on in Mafalda Minnozzi`s imagination via the stories handed down to her by her grandparents about post war Italy. Films such as “La Dolce Vita” and “Candelabro Italiano” represent in part this period that Mafalda wishes to highlight. It was a moment to believe in the future with a carefree sense of unity.

SPRITZ gives life to a time in the past that remains engraved in modern musical and social history as a period of great quality in its artistic expression.
