“Postcard From Rio” recounts the whirlwind of sensations that overwhelmed me as I was baptized by the city’s energy so many years ago. This Samba imagines a postcard that I might have sent back home from Rio to explain my destiny to remain there. It’s an homage to a place that taught me so much about my music and about myself. The ocean’s healing forces even showed me how to truly breathe deep as it cured my chronic asthma.
